Chelsea 2, Blues 0

Let us be honest: we didn't deserve anything from our FA Cup game yesterday. But I have to laugh when unfashionable players like El Hadji Diouf are rightly condemned for cheating, but when Chelsea's skipper John Terry clearly fouls Blues defender Martin Taylor in the lead up to their first goal it's described in the press as "cunning".

I see next door seem in no hurry to move - this morning one of their number waited outside to challenge the bin men when they arrived to make sure all their rubbish was removed. They even tried to get them to take the recycling too - I was hoping they'd be out by today, but I guess we'll have to hold on. As the council clearly takes no interest in them, I'm left with the forlorn hope that they really have been served notice of an eviction.

Oh, and Craig Bellamy looks set to turn us down. No surprise, no disappointment - except we've wasted the last week of the transfer window pursuing a pie-in-the-sky player when we desperately needed creative reinforcements in midfield.
