Another step forward...

... on the road to Colchester. A whistle-stop visit saw us view five houses yesterday and have an offer accepted on one of them before we arrived back in Chelmsford where we were staying with Toni's cousin and her family. It's similar to the one we saw in Prettygate on our first visit - the study area is separated from the rest of the house by an internal corridor, so I'm not working in the middle of the house and able to walk away from it all at the end of the day in a similar way to how I do now.

Of course, receiving and accepting an offer at our end, and successfully making an offer at the next end are the simplest parts of this whole exercise. The hard work starts now, and will see my tax return for last year filed around six months earlier than I'd normally do because we need to provide two years worth of earnings to base our mortgage on (thankfully, we're well within the limits of what they'd lend us, giving us scope for manouverability if necessary).

Right! Back to finishing off a two-page piece for tomorrow - the clock never stops ticking!
