Spent yesterday cleaning the house top to bottom* in preparation for two house viewings last night and this evening. Last night's was surprising in that this was a second viewing, so finger's crossed they still liked what they saw. I'm beyond thinking that "this is the one" now - I've managed to put myself in a place whereby I won't start panicking until we actually receive an offer (hmm, sounds suspiciously like my love life prior to my last year at uni), so until we get that offer I'm determined to enjoy our last months in the South West with all my friends.
Aside from a subbing test, I've got the day off. Toni returns from a week away at a hen weekend in Barcelona and then spending yesterday at Wimbledon. I've missed her, but enjoyed my brief period of independence. There is truth in the old adage that absence makes the heart grow fonder. This weekend I've geeked out with my great mate Cav and his very understanding wife Clare, and last night enjoyed some network gaming playing the original Unreal Tournament with my oldest friend from Bath, Steven - we both lived in the same shared house when I first moved down in 1994.
*Obviously I've probably missed all the bits that the human male is genetically coded to ignore/not notice!
