Britons WOULD trade civil liberties for security
According to a poll in today's Guardian (here). I'm clearly in the minority then, and I'll tell you why. We're told that if we do this or that then we've given in to the terrorists, yet surely you're caving in by allowing your government to encroach on your freedom? To me that's a pretty fundamental change to the way we live, and thus the terrorists claim a small victory by our doing so.
