GM debacle

Nice to see the government has left gigantic-sized loopholes for the growing of GM crops in this country. Even better, those growing said crops don't need to notify their neighbours, so can cross-contaminate at their pleasure. See today's Guardian here.

And people say this capitalist, western world we live in is inherently "good". I fail to see much to back up that claim, when big business can roll over everyone else with impunity. We have an American administrator so blatantly in the pockets of the oil industry, and this country's government doesn't seem much better either. What a world we live in...
