Shoe-lace deviant

A year or so ago, someone spotted the way I tie my shoe laces: make a single loop, wrap the spare lace around it, make the other loop and tuck it through/under the other loop to make the bow. It was suggested that this technique was somehow deviant and not the norm.

Today it transpires that I'm not alone in my technique. It appears the other method may in fact be the deviant one. I am therefore looking for fellow village idiots (pitchforks optional) to join me on a quest to stamp out the real deviants. We'll rendezvous outside the castle at 11pm tonight. Don't forget your blazing torches...
