That's Blair's idea - see here. How about facing up to the fact our current way of life from top to bottom is unsustainable and immoral, when you consider the sacrifices other people around the world have to make for our lifestyles (see here).
If you really want to be remembered with some kind of fondness, Blair, do the decent thing and act like a proper leader by making tough decisions now. Start by reading today's Independent and following some of the measures suggested by its readers. Oh, and then feel ashamed that Greenpeace says even Arnold Schwarzenegger has introduced more demanding carbon-reduction targets for California than you have in the UK (never mind the fact that political inertia means we'll miss even that). One word, Mr Blair: pathetic.
