Anyway, Toni starts work at The Range tomorrow part-time - she got the phone call today. Although the lack of any notice is a little annoying, at least it'll mean money in her pocket.
I discovered a new word today while reading the local paper. Apparently, as inhabitants of Colchester we're Colcestrians. As a Colcestrian I'm extremely happy - we went down to the local allotment on Saturday with Toni's mum and dad and picked out the plot we hope to get (the form was mailed today). It's nice and secluded, and the whole allotment is protected by locked gates and a high fence. It's a 5-10 minute walk from here, and we're going to dismantle the shed in our garden and move it lock, stock down there when Toni orders her workshop. The shed is a decent size, so it will double as a place to go to in the summer to do some gardening and read our books. The plot is 110 metres square, which at 17p per square metre works out at around £19 per annum. How will we ever afford it?
I'm kept quite busy with work - another commission from PCA just popped through the Interweb - which is obviously a good thing. I'll try not to think about how I earn less in a year than Nicky Butt does in a week plying his trade for Championship-bound Blues.
Hmm, I'll avoid ranting on that subject and get back to examining Google Labs. Rock'n'roll eh, readers?
