Wayne Rooney won't be fit for the World Cup. Now England can plan for the finals without him instead of praying and hoping that not only would he recover in time, but would somehow miraculously regain match fitness for the first game he played in. England have plenty of big players without him, so while it's a blow it's time to move on and get over it.
Birmingham appear to be doing just that. The club has confirmed that not only has it agreed terms with Cardiff for the transfer of striker Cameron Jerome, but that we've agreed terms with the player too. It leaves Premiership clubs the weekend to nip in and hijack the bid before he signs on the dotted line on his return from holiday next week...
