10. Finding out we'd beaten Arsenal 2-1 while on top of the Grand Canyon.
9. Christophe Dugarry's flick behind his leg to score the first in our 2-0 win at Charlton during the run that kept us up in our first season
8. Damien Johnson's wonder goal that saw us claim our first Premiership victory - 2-1 against Leeds
7. Drawing 2-2 at Aston Villa after being 2-0 down and outplayed for 60 minutes. Stern John's 94th minute equaliser (and the fact if he'd been more than two yards out he'd have skied it over the top)...
6. Doing the double over Liverpool - the European Champions - last season
5. Going to Villa Park and beating Aston Villa 2-0 in our first season to build on the previous week's 2-1 win against Liverpool
4. Coming from behind twice to beat Southampton 3-2 - four of the five goals came in the last 15 minutes. All three of our strikes were superb - Dugarry (2) and Bryan Hughes
3. Beating Villa home and away last season - on both occasions we needed the points more than the local pride and they duly obliged. Shame we undid all of that by saving them this season at our own expense...
2. Beating Villa 3-0 at St Andrews within three months of returning to the Premier League
1. Going on to the pitch for two presentations - with Kenny Cunningham against West Ham, and Neil Kilkenny against Wolves. Both were thank yous for writing for the match day programme.
The first season was the best by far, the second season ended on a damp squib and since then it's been downhill. Best player during that period was Christophe Dugarry by a country mile, but all of the players in our first season deserve a special mention. Perhaps if Steve Bruce hadn't been so quick to ship them out to make way for his big names we'd still be a Premiership club next year.
