Goodbye Emile Heskey

Last night at around 6pm Blues accepted a generous £5.5m bid for the services of Emile Heskey. By 2pm today the deal was completed. For all of his shortcomings (four league goals last season being the most visible of these), I'm strangely sorry he's gone, even though we need the cash and we can't really afford to pay him 30K a week in the Championship. Hopefully his departure will pave the way for two or three new arrivals - our wafer-thin squad definitely needs them!
