... the chorus to which (from England's 1970 World Cup Squad) has been going around in my befuddled mind for the past 12 hours as I wrestle with jetlag. Landed on time at 2pm yesterday and picked up the car around 3.30pm. Made steady progress - especially for Friday afternoon - on the M25, but crawled up sections of the A12. Although it was easy to adjust to driving on the correct side of the road using a manual gearbox, I ended up missing the Ford Fusion we'd been driving over the course of the holiday. Mind you, I don't think cruise control would be a sensible option in the stop-start nature of our overcrowded roads!
Kitties welcomed us in their usual way and once again we're indebted to our parents for looking after them. Toni's mum and dad spent the week here scouting possible locations in Essex to move to, while doing a lot of hard work on our house and garden: a new shed now sits behind the workshop, the garden looks very nice (and pruned back) and they've probably done more work in a week than I've done in a lifetime of living in houses!
I shall eventually get around to transferring the blog reports from my PDA to this blog over the course of the next few days, but for now there are several hundred photos I'd like to share with you all. Hello? Hello?
