... Today is our eighth wedding anniversary, and marriage just gets better and better. We're having a steak dinner tonight, courtesy of my wife's wonderful cooking. Tomorrow evening we're going out for a meal with my parents to hand over the keys to the house for when we're in Canada (they're taking the second shift after Toni's mum and dad use us as a base to scout potential properties and areas to retire to in the next few years). On Saturday we're going to the theatre with our friends Joe and Jo - the Chinese takeaway has already been pre-selected, and there's a cheesecake in the freezer - mmm, cheesecake.
Wedding anniversaries aren't all about the food, but there's no harm in looking forward to the meals!
