Doctor Who's new spin-off series, featuring Captain Jack Harkness who accompanied the Doctor for five adventures at the end of Season One, has debuted to record audiences (see here).
I'll avoid the use of spoilers in case my mate Cav hasn't watched it yet, but put simply, I was very pleased with it. As a plastic Taff, I enjoyed the Welshness immensely - Eve Myles is superb as Gwen Cooper alongside the excellent John Barrowman - and it made its mark as an adult show from the off. In fact, episode two was a little too adult for my tastes - hopefully now Russell T Davis has got that out of his system we'll see the series develop its early promise further.
PS/ Check out Cav's contributions to Big Finish, specifically Project: Valhalla, published in 2003 (see here). Hmm, I wonder if that's where the idea for Torchwood came from?
