See here. I trust that in return for enjoying even more profit they would be promoting fair wages for staff (instead of encouraging the flood of cheap immigrant labour into the country) and proper regulation to ensure they don't cut corners at every opportunity?

I didn't think so. But we know the government will cave in - it's happy to try and regulate people's lives in minutiae while letting business get away with murder.
