Following up on yesterday's post...

... I see the government has effectively rejected the local decision to block the expansion of Stansted (see here). Once again it says one thing about the environment while continuing to undermine it on the other. And once again, local opinions count for nothing as far as this government is concerned. Way to go Blair. Whatever did happen to accountability and democracy in this country, anyway?
