A visit to mum and dad
Used the bus and train to pop up to mum and dad's this morning for a haircut (forgot to say thanks, mum!) and to deliver the cat feeder for Samantha while they're away. It's good to see them settling in really well there - mum's got her plants going great guns already, while the lounge has been redecorated and the place feels more and more like home each time I visit. I also enjoyed attempting to play some Beethoven on their electric piano and would like to formally put in a claim for it! If only we had the space... In the meantime, I'll continue to reacquaint myself with my old piano-playing skills on the keyboard here in the study...
I enjoy the fact they're so close now - just a bus and train ride away (okay, it's quicker in the car, but much less hassle when someone else is doing the driving, and let's not forget the environmental benefit!). I'm still loving every minute of living in this part of the country, and it was good to get away from the desk where deadlines are still looming. Oh well, there's always tomorrow...
