Brown's new housing boom...

... will apparently all be built on existing brownfield sites. One quarter of the 400,000 new homes planned will be eco-friendly, and aimed at first-time buyers to help them get a foot on the ladder. If all of this comes to pass then I will take my hat off to Brown for making a good start in this area - but only IF it comes to pass.
