I was in town on Friday running some errands, and while I was waiting for my glasses to be fixed, I went into WH Smith's to pick up a copy of PC Format as I've had a tutorial published in the current issue. While I was there I stumbled on a magazine called Grow Your Own, which is basically a magazine for kitchen gardeners. After buying it, I was not only impressed with the sheer volume of content in it, but gob-smacked to discover it's based in Colchester! It's far too early for me to be pitching articles to this magazine, but I'm hoping to find out if they're looking for freelance subs as it might add a neat piece of diversification to my portfolio.
