Independent on Sunday

Today's Independent leads on a report commissioned by a government ministry that urges Gordon Brown to start the revolution in renewables posited in the paper a week or so ago (click here). Sadly, it appears Brown will do anything but, turning to more nuclear power generators instead. If anyone needed convincing that Brown will put business before the people who pay his wages (ie, us) then this is it.

If the Tories are serious about embracing the decentralisation of power, then it provides one major compelling reason to vote for them in the next election. I won't vote for them, but if that's the only good thing that comes out of a Tory administration, it's one thing more than Labour has achieved in over a decade of power where it has rapidly become out of touch with reality.
