Been watching Ewan McGregor's bike ride across the world on - of all places considering it's the home of Britain's Toughest Villages and other pap - Sky 1 in Long Way Round. Last night's episode saw him and his mate Charley Boorman crossing Kazakhstan. There's even an official site here. It's very entertaining and informative, and I recommend anyone who loves travel programmes like Michael Palin's superb Himalaya tries to watch it. Hopefully it'll make its way to terrestrial TV soon enough (Channel 5, maybe?).

Sure beats waiting for the result of the presidential election. My only surprise is that Kerry has survived so long, but I'm sure Bush will be crowned king of the world again tomorrow...
