It's not just non-Americans terrified by the prospect - now almost reality - of George W Bush gaining four more years in the White House. One of the best blogs for this is actor/writer Wil Wheaton's, which you can - indeed must - read here. We - and especially I - must remember that whatever horrors Bush visits on the world (and his own country) in the next four years are not those endorsed by a large proportion of Americans. Many will be as devastated as the rest of us when this charlatan and his cronies visit whatever hell on earth we will face in the next four years (maybe I am exaggerating, but then did anyone envisage the state of the world as it is now back in 2000?).

The trick is this: when you're trying to lump all Americans in with the actions of Bush, ask yourself if - by your own definition - you should be lumped in with the actions of Blair. I know my answer to that particular question, and no, I'm not a Labour voter!
