Speeding ticket

Yup, yours truly was caught doing 60mph in a 50mph section of the M4, and have been notified by the relevant authorities. I have no idea what will happen in terms of penalty points (I expect to get them) and a fine (I have little idea what to expect).

Perhaps I should rail against the system? But then I'd be a hypocrite. I remember the incident well, and I have no dispute with it. I should have driven to the speed limit mentioned, and I have no one to blame but myself.

Now begins the wait to see just how much I'll be fined and penalised. There is a certain stigma attached, but when you live in a country where people routinely break all speed limits you have to expect the authorities to take harsh measures to try and crack down on these incidents. After all, cars kill people and too many people forget how dangerous they are when they get behind the wheel of one.
