Open letters to George W Bush

As revealed by this open letter to George W Bush I've cut and pasted from here. This basically sums up the hypocrisy of the right wing - people claim to have voted for Bush on this matter alone, allowing their flimsy prejudices to put the rest of the world in danger from their own President.

While I was looking for the link above, I read a poignant open letter from a human rights lawyer to his pro-Bush brother-in-law (see here). There's an interesting comparison between Americans who back Bush and turn a blind eye to his administration's atrocities in Iraq, and what went on in Germany in the 1930s. A little far-fetched, perhaps? I wonder...

While I'm it, the actor Sean Penn speaks a lot of sense to - see here.

I'm tempted to write an open letter to him myself. But as I've been taught not to contribute to a debate if I've nothing constructive to say, I'll have to pass. That's assuming that asking him to go forth and multiply is not particularly constructive.
