These are the people who run this country

This tale of an Albanian teenager who will be deported back to Albania as soon as he turns 18 fills me with horror (see today's Independent, here). It shows how low we have fallen in recent times - now the hysteria over immigration has led to the government playing these underhand tactics to reduce the headline numbers. It proves that people no longer have the intelligence or far-sightedness to see through the shock of tabloid tittle-tattle to the real stories beneath.

And yet we'll all still vote either Labour or Conservative at the next election. We hates this country, we does!
