The end for GM in Europe?

Good (see here). And I don't care if the Tories stance on GM in opposing it are seen as "electioneering" - it means they're listening to public opinion. Blair's private backing for GM is just another example of how he's in Bush's pocket - hopefully the coming election will prove to be a close one, with the Liberal Democrats holding the balance of power, or a government that enjoys only a small majority. This doesn't lead to "weak" government; it leads to accountable government and prevents the likes of Thatcher and Blair rising to power.
