Saw four properties in Colchester over the weekend - the Prettygate one was head and shoulders above the rest, but we obviously can't make an offer until we've sold ours, and if truth be told our enthusiasm for it is waning. There was one point where we felt it was the one - leaving Colchester at 4.30pm I switched on the radio to hear the unbelievable news filter in that Blues had gone 1-0 up at Chelski. I stubbornly resisted all temptation to believe in three points, until the moment when I faltered slightly and the London Blues promptly equalised. However, we hung on for a superb point, which all but makes us safe.
Drove over 400 miles in total this weekend - 200 to Colchester, 60 back to Toni's folks, and another 140 yesterday back here. This morning our house went on to the market, and I also sorted out a provisional mortgage application that we can show estate agents when we make an offer on one of their properties...
Why have I mentioned Kelly Osbourne? It seems the daughter of Ozzy has gone electro-pop for her new album, and by that I mean 80s electro-pop. If - like me - you're still struggling to come to terms with the concept that "It was 20 years ago today" no longer applies to the Beatles and other 60s groups, but to a-ha, Madonna, Duran Duran and the like, this track will offer welcome respite. It's very similar to Visage's Fade to Grey, but still a great listen. I think I may buy the album when it's finally released. Of course, if you want to listen, how do you? Go here and click the Jukebox followed by the first link to 'One Word', the title of the track.
