Blast from the past

Tomorrow and Sunday is George's stag do, and most of that will be spent in mid Wales, near where I grew up. Sunday will see us Gorge Walking in the Black Mountains around 10 miles where the crow flies from my home for 15 years (if you go to to the Black Mountain Activities Web site here, you'll see Llangammarch Wells tucked away in the top left corner; we lived halfway between there and Garth).

The weird thing is, I'll be paying someone 55 quid to take me on a trip down memory lane, as I suspect I got up to half the stuff we'll be doing for free on our eight-acre smallholding or down by the river Irfon that flowed less than 200 metres from our front gate. It's just a shame the weekend is so hectic (four activities packed into less than 48 hours) that I won't have time to pop in and say hi to mum and dad... So apologies to them (Toni has the car, see) and I promise to visit before the end of August!
