The price of greed

The Duke of Northumberland, already worth an estimated £300m, wants even more by destroying some beautiful habitat that's home to rare species of flora and fauna, as reported in today's Independent, here. Nice to see he's attempted to fast-track it through the consultation and planning process - some people's greed beggars belief.

Matti is even brighter than yesterday - outwardly she appears back to her normal self, and was downstairs waiting for breakfast. I tried to give her just biscuits, but she plunged her nose into Jasp's bowl and started scoffing. We've taken her off that and kept her on chicken for now. The anti-vomit injection has worn off, so I want to be sure it's worked before letting her get onto richer foods. Anyone seeing the desperate measures we had to employ to get her to take her antibiotic pill (at least her returning appetite means I can crush it from now on into her food) will attest to the fact she appears to be firmly on the mend!
