The Halifax have finally made contact - albeit via email - with our buyers' mortgage advisor (and I now know his name). He has apologised for being incommunicado and promised to chase up the lenders with regard to the survey, so hopefully (as in rolling a seven on a six-sided die) we may hear something regarding the survey today or tomorrow.
For all we know, the survey may have been of the drive-by variety and already done! Apparently they still do those with basic valuations - I would be surprised if that was the case though...
