Update

Mixed news. On the one hand, our buyers are refusing point blank to countenance a change in financial advisor until Wednesday at the earliest. However, they might have a good reason: apparently the money for their survey finally left their bank account last Friday, so hopefully the survey will finally be instructed by end of play tomorrow. I've informed our seller that it's extremely unlikely we'll be exchanging before the end of this week, but that hopefully the survey will have been done and we'll know the results - good or bad.

To be honest, I'll believe it when I see it, and if I don't see it - let's just say there will be interesting times ahead.
