Israel and the Middle East

Who do you blame for the violence and the hatred in the Middle East? In five years time, when the tit-for-tat is going on, remember how Israel "proportionately" responded to a terrorist organisation by bombing a neighbouring country to ruins. Remember how its armed forces ignored ten separate pleas from UN observers to stop shelling its position. Remember how the US and UK stood idly by, doing nothing publicly to stop the Israelis while privately selling them weapons to use on their neighbours.

This farce must stop. Violence begets violence. Had Israel been targeted in this way by any Middle East country then the western world would - correctly - be up in arms. Instead, because Israel is the aggressor, the west turns a blind eye. When the next Arab terrorist targets us, try to remember why they did it - you don't have to agree with it, but if you refuse to accept that our actions in this region are rephrensible in return then you will never understand why these people target us.

Terrorists are evil, but judging by the actions of the US, Israel and the UK, so are we. A sobering thought...

I too have writeen an article on the same subject to call the attention of the world that seems a deaf ear to the problems in the Middle East. Please have a look at my article if you are willing to.
