A weekend away - and a PodCast

Toni was training in Wiltshire on Saturday so I took the opportunity to visit our friends Cav and Clare (and their beautiful baby daughter, Chloe). I shan't dwell on the drive there or the drive back (which was better than the drive there, despite the torrential rain), but instead just say I had a wonderful time. I stayed over Friday and Saturday night, and played co-host to Cav on the latest episode of his That's Weird podcast (see here, or click the button below to check it out at Podcast Pickle). I'm hoping he'll invite me back - although next time we'll be trying out the wonders of Interweb technology and doing our broadcast from our respective "studios"...

Toni's course was a single day, so she joined us Saturday evening and we had a lovely meal, plenty of wine and played board games and watched a bit of TV (including a special 30-minute version of The Wrath of Khan so Cav and I could watch the "new bits" from the Director's Edition. Clare and Toni had strangely retired for the evening at this point...)

Anyway, a good time was had by all* and hopefully we'll see them again in the New Year when they brave the wilds of Essex...

*Well, Toni and I did at any rate!
