Another milestone (or is that millstone?) is reached today. Actually, getting older isn't that bad. I definitely prefer myself now to who I was even a few years ago, so clearly I'm either improving with age or - equally as importantly - think I'm improving with age.
A lovely collection of pressies this morning - Toni bought me a shirt, hemp wallet (sorely needed) and Battlestar Galactica season 2 on DVD - all very welcome and thoughtfully chosen. Mum and dad bought me Michael Palin's diaries from his time with the Pythons - a lovely surprise and much appreciated! My friends Cav and Joe bought me sci-fi DVDs (okay, Lois and Clark and Doctor Who) - also much appreciated. With all the crap that's on TV these days, we finally have some more stuff to look forward to as the evenings continue to draw in. Other presents will arrive later, including one which is stuck down the post office because they appear to have taken the phone off the hook.
This afternoon we're going into Colchester for a spot of Christmas shopping and to see the new James Bond flick, plus have something to eat. I'm leaning towards fish and chips at the moment.
Oops - better get back to work - need to submit a four-pager before taking the rest of the day off!
