This morning I got off to a good start by tidying up and then submitting the lead feature for issue 68 of the official Windows XP Magazine in the UK. That's three big deadlines I've met in the past 10 days, so November has been a good month financially speaking. My next deadline is Thursday morning (my birthday), so I've spent much of today working on stuff for our SupportPCs web site - reorganised the Tutorials section, uploaded a couple of tutorials and posted some blog entries. However, I've also made progress on the tutorial I've got to hand in on Thursday (also for the official UK XP mag). So all-in-all, a good, productive day work-wise.
SupportPCs is slowly building itself a following. Our monthly visitor numbers have topped 3,000 for the first time, and for the past couple of weeks we've had more than 200 people checking the site out each day. Ad revenue is still miniscule, but every little helps and hopefully we'll continue to build from here. It would be nice to have a regular income - however small - from another source to provide a bit of extra security.
I subbed another one of Toni's short stories today for her writing site's EuroFiction competition. Her last two entries scored decent points, and I'm hopeful this one will too - it's definitely her best yet.
So a good day, all-in-all.
