This is more like it Bruce!

Steve Bruce has come out and said some very sensible things this week. First, although he had a gripe at the referee for letting an elbow to the head go unpunished (which indirectly led to Wolves' sucker-punch equaliser), Bruce was keen to point out their goal should only have been a consolation anyway.

Secondly, instead of having a pop at the fans who can't afford to pay Premiership prices for Championship football (never mind Premiership football), Bruce has called on the authorities at all levels of the game to look very closely at the way ticket prices are going. Blues charge more than most Championship clubs and our attendances have dropped as a result. While David Sullivan slags off the fans who not having his millions to fritter away on premium prices for non-premium football, Bruce at least understands where the average man is coming from.

These comments sound more like the Bruce of old - the one who came it to Blues, stopped us feeling sorry for ourselves after three successive near-misses in the play offs (never mind the Worthington Cup) and got us promoted and established in the Premiership. He's got a long way to go yet, but I'm suddenly looking forward to the rest of the season.
