A plea by Sheryl Crow

A month or so ago I reported on Sheryl Crow's comments during her recent Stop Global Warming College Tour of the US. On the day I reported this, I was unhappy to see her words being taken out of context and used to suggest she was some kind of loon on a message board I frequent. It appears the American right has been doing much the same thing - as revealed in a recent blog post by Ms Crow. Thankfully she still makes a heartfelt plea for the human race - particularly those in her own country - to start taking this issue seriously (see here). One comment in particular struck a chord with me: "The planet will live on in whatever state it is in, however, it is humanity that will suffer."

Those thinking they can continue to ignore the warnings that are pouring in on a daily basis around them, or those who feel no responsibility towards the next generation (you know, our own children and grandchildren) should please read this blog, smell the coffee and start doing something - anything - to make a change in your life. We can't undo what we've already done, but we can at least show willing to try and mend our ways before the damage we do is beyond comprehension. This isn't about summers getting a few degrees warmer, it's about the future of the human race, never mind every other species that has the misfortune to share this wonderful planet with us.
