Doctor Who

I'm not sure whether or not I liked tonight's episode. There were some wonderful revelations (and glimpses) of the Doctor and Master's past, including a shot of Time Lords and Gallifrey itself, but I suspect many of those references will shoot way over the top of casual viewers. There was some wonderful dialogue, and John Simm is simply delicious as the Doctor's number one enemy (the anti-American sentiment helped too!). Everyone gave decent performances, but something's not quite right. I'm hoping it's the usual "weak middle third" syndrome of a three-part story, but unless the spoilers are being kept under wraps, the trailer for next week's season finale was distinctly underwhelming.
