The Independent steps up to the plate again

Today's front page and leading article from the Independent continue to highlight BAA's disgraceful attempts to suppress the right to peaceful protest. As the commentary points out (see here), BAA is following the lead of Blair's government in eroding the right to demonstrate peacefully - something Monbiot has highlighted over the years.

Unsurprisingly you won't find this story making any waves in any of the other papers. Mind you, I was surprised to see a story about climate change being "impossible to ignore" in the Telegraph. As one of the last bastions of climate change denial in the media, this about-turn is welcome - if it isn't immediately challenged by someone else in the paper trying to muddy the waters.
