And breathe...

... September is turning out to be a good month on the work front. Two pieces of work were offered last week that collectively takes me into "comfort zone" territory for that month's earnings. I say comfort zone, of course, but the money's already spent: by some quirk of idiocy my car tax, insurance, service and MOT all fall into a six-week period from the end of this month to the beginning of November. Still, having had the brake pads refitted last week, I've decided to try and keep the car for another 12 months. It's barely used these days, so hopefully it'll behave itself over the next year in-so-much as this car can ever behave itself. No doubt when I go out there later I'll discovered the thing has collapsed in a heap...
