"Unfair consequences"

"Those who are still opposing new homes need to face up to the unfair consequences for first-time buyers and young families who badly need new affordable homes."

So says housing minister Yvette Cooper. I do apologise, Ms Cooper. I seem to have foolishly put the long-term interests of humanity as a whole ahead of your government's short-term policies, policies which have helped fuel the so-called crisis in housing in the first place.

Perhaps if your government developed a backbone and governed in the interest of the whole country instead of consistently siding with the super-rich and big business, you wouldn't now need to be threatening to concrete over yet more land to try and keep your unsustainable policies going for that little bit longer.

At this point, my rant could degenerate into listing all the "unfair consequences" of government policy over the past 10 years, but I'll assume everyone has read my other recent posts...
