Drilling for oil in Alberta

I remember reading about this when in San Francisco two years ago, but the report in today's Guardian newspaper is numbing, depressing and oh-so predictable. I'm too tired and down-hearted to comment on it - it speaks for itself. But I think it'll be a long time before I turn my eyes to Canada again if this is what the country is capable of doing.
