We've enjoyed a very pleasant weekend with our friends Martin and Lynn who have just headed home to Lancaster via Bury St Edmunds. They arrived Thursday night, and we've shown them the delights of Colchester (stop sniggering at the back), taken another trip to Mersea Island (where I've discovered a taste for Mersea's Skippers ale) and found a local pub that serves good ale and lovely Sunday roasts (the Donkey and Buskins in Layer-de-la-Haye, about 2-3 miles down the road). I've also been introduced to the delights of Lego Star Wars on the Playstation 2. As Martin would say, marvellous!
Both were on good form as always, and will always be welcome in this neck of the woods!
