Fridge-freezer

I had to order a new fridge freezer last week. It arrives this Thursday, and threatened to deliver a blow to my planetary footprint. It's more efficient than the last model (which I'd just fitted a savaplug to), but obviously there's a big cost in simply purchasing it - 0.11 planets according to the WWF Footprint Calculator. However, the fact Harriet Rose now lives with us, and coupled with acting on some other pledges listed, I've managed to drive down our footprint even further, to 1.38 planets from the last recorded figure of 1.47 planets. It's a long, slow slog, but we're getting there - it would be nice to think other Westerners would try the site too, and take the steps that are necessary to ensuring the long-term viability of our species.
