How about that?!

George W Bush has signed into law a bill that will help reduce the US's reliance on fossil fuels (see here). I'm gobsmacked, for while it removes one problem (too much oil) for another (too many bio-fuels), it is at least a step in the right direction for a country that is the biggest producer of greenhouse gases on earth. And as Bush says, it reduces American dependence on foreign oil and will make it more self-sufficient. And who wouldn't want that?
