Is this the real John McCain?

Rolling Stone Magazine has printed this interesting story about the real John McCain. If it's true then he's the last man we want in the White House, and not just because his health would be all that stands between Sarah Palin and the most powerful job on the planet...

I see three of the largest British banks have gone cap in hand to the taxpayer for a bail-out. Robert Peston (see here) speculates that it's the death of Thatcherism, but like so many false dawns over the years I'll believe it when I see it. The deregulated, unfettered "free" market has many powerful voices backing it - just because they've broken every so-called principle they have by expecting public money to bail them out for their mistakes, don't expect them to bow meekly to what's right for the greater good.
