Tomorrow...

... we return to the hospital so Harri can have a CT scan on her hips and we can find out the worst (or otherwise). Things have thankfully improved since my last post, and I want to apologise for how dark it sounded. That doesn't mean to say we've got any hope that Harri will avoid a prolonged spell in plaster - the shock of being told she would probably need a second operation has only recently worn off, and we don't have the energy to waste on hope when it's not helped at all so far. All we can do is try to steel ourselves and see what happens. The likelihood is that we'll get news next week - no doubt if there is more work to be done we'll have to find another day to spend shuttling to and from Stanmore to be consulted about it.

At least the cold has abated - a remnant remains, and I managed to pull a muscle in my side from all the coughing, so it can be quite painful sometimes, but at least the mood isn't quite so black. Dealing with Harri in plaster is hard work, but it's workable, and she can get around on her own quite nicely. That could yet prove to be important if she is going to need another operation and spell in plaster. Roll on tomorrow and the news that will follow, good or bad...
