Harriet update

It's been a long while since my last post. We had excellent news this morning from the hospital when they finally confirmed that the CT scan on Harriet's hip from 23rd December showed there were no problems, and that she'll be out of plaster on 23rd February and into a harness for a further three months (the harness is better in that she'll be in it for 22 hours a day at first - allowing her to have nappy changes and go swimming or take baths - but by six weeks she should only be wearing it at night).

It's been a long and frustrating wait, but we did have "unofficial" confirmation that no problems had been found with the scan last week, although until the consultant himself had seen it we were of course still a little wary.

It's been a good Christmas and New Year despite this cloud - Harri is extremely mobile, and continues to develop apace as only young children can. I feel a little more refreshed and raring to go this morning - a good thing too, as I have a number of deadlines coming up!

A Happy New Year to you all, and once again apologies for my doom-laden post of three weeks ago, which frankly feels like a lifetime now.
