Almost there

Toni's mum and dad have been with us since Wednesday afternoon helping make the house presentable before we put it on the market. We even bought a new lounge carpet today - somehow I ended up paying for that, even though Toni had agreed to foot the bill! That will - hopefully - be fitted by Don and I (or more like Don with a tiny bit of unskilled labour from I) tomorrow or Sunday...

In the meantime, thrown out a couple of old pieces of furniture, including a corner desk in the study, which has opened it up nicely and suddenly you can see that it's actually quite a big room - certainly bigger than most people's third bedrooms...

A quick look at the Elms Price Marston estate agent unsurprisingly reveals that the house we really liked has been sold. In a way I'm glad - not just for the owners - but because our hopes hadn't been raised too much. Looking down the list, I see a very nice property for 197K in Cowdray Avenue, though...
