Sacked minister claims nuclear figures are "a fix"
Elliott Morley was sacked by Blair two weeks ago as part of his radical reshuffle - now Morley claims the figures favouring nuclear power over renewables are a fix (see today's Guardian, here). Tell me Mr Blair, what is remotely democratic about removing people who don't agree with you? Clearly the American system has one major thing going for it: maximum terms of presidents. Blair's already exceeded that, and shows no signs of gracefully relinquishing his position. Mark my words - he has his eye on beating Thatcher's record in office, and we all know how authoritarian she tried to become.
